at the top of search results twitter has added a new feature called "Top News" and "Top People", Twitter is currently testing the new features, some users Twiter and is a way to help users find the news and the most popular.
as reported by TechCrunch, when the twitter users looking for a hot look for stories such as "gmail" (which came out with an iPhone app train today) or even a "humanoid" (a new startup I just wrote about), users will see results highlighted box with links to top news stories along with thumbnail images of an article or blog post.
Similarly, searching for anyone who is famous for Twitter will display a "Top People" results with their Twitter profile picture and a link to stream them.
This feature is different from the top tweet. No author's name, only the text and draw images of related content. If the search is a person with a high number will affect Twitter. Person's profile will appear in the box titled 'Top People'.
